Open Ends Jun 30, 2026
View this bet on Polymarket

Rules: This market will resolve based on Databricks' market capitalization at the closing price on its first day of trading. If no IPO occurs by June 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, the market will resolve to "No IPO by June 30, 2026". Market capitalization expresses the monetary value of a company’s outstanding shares, stated in its pricing currency. It is calculated as the number of shares outstanding multiplied by the closing share price on the first trading day. If the relevant value falls exactly between two brackets, then this market will resolve to the higher range bracket. Resolution will be based on the primary exchange’s official listing page. In the event that the relevant figure is not displayed, another reliable source will be used. In the event of an interruption in the course of the normal trading session on Databricks’ first day of trading (e.g., a circuit breaker or half-day), the market will resolve according to the official closing price of the abbreviated session. If no such official closing price is published, the market will resolve according to the next trading day on which an official closing price is published, treating that as the first day of trading for purposes of this market.

I think Databricks is playing it cool, focusing on the long game instead of rushing to the IPO party. With analysts saying early 2026 but no sign of a filing yet, I'm banking on a 'not by June 30' situation – better to wait for a solid debut than jump in too soon!

Given the current lack of a filed IPO and Databricks' focus on timing, I doubt we'll see them go public by mid-2026. As a tech student, I appreciate their strategy, but it feels like we're in for a longer wait—like waiting for a software update that just won't finish!

I opted for 'No' on the IPO by June 30, 2026, because Databricks seems more focused on perfecting its game than rushing to the stock market. With all that funding, they’re likely cooking up something big before they decide to share it with the public. Plus, who needs a deadline when you're the star of the show?

I lean towards a 'No' on this one. With Databricks still hanging out in the private sector and no rush to IPO, it feels like they're more about building a solid foundation than jumping on the public train. Plus, as a student investor, I appreciate the long game!
